I haven't said much for a while but nothing that exciting has happened.
Oh, I did an illustration for a magazine based in Manc and I'm off to see the editor of Leeds Guide magazine next week. So yeah, it's starting to pick up I spose. Not getting too excited about it just yet. Maybe when Saatchi & Saatchi ring...
I'm temping at York College again, its like I've gone back in a time warp and the last year and a half never happened. It must have. Every job I have, I seem to follow in the footsteps of some stupid man who does everything wrong and I have to put everything right again. Men!

I just went into Selby to do a bit of shopping and I'm sure I saw Jenny Ryall who is this girl I went to school and college with. We were actually quite good friends at college, or so I thought... I've drawn a diagram of what happened when I saw her, I think it speaks for itself. If it wasn't you Jenny, then I'm very sorry. And if it wasn't her, why was this random girl so scared of me??? I'm the one in red by the way. And she did that special move in a split second while I was picking a bit off stuff off my scarf. I was dead confused when I looked up and she wasnt there. Sneaky.

Oh and my parents have sold the house. They're gonna drag it out as long as possible cos my Mums got a job which will last until July. We might end up renting somewhere together haha. And yes, it is Andy Clayton's parents who have bought it. How nice. |

Yes, I do have a Dad |

I really enjoyed my still life drawing class, I hope I get to do the jungle project for them.
I went to Selby High in the afternoon cos I've got myself involved with this other project. Students from Selby and Brayton High are doing a dance performance with the props animated and projected onto a gorse which will hang over the front of the stage. It's all a bit technial. There was this really annoying dancy performing arts type girl who was leading it and was just generally annoying. There's just no need to be so enthusiastic and tell kids off for not standing up straight when playing her 'name game'. Knob head. Well I wont be seeing her for a while anyway cos the dancers are at Selby High and the animators are at Brayton High which is what I'm helping with.
I wish it was summer. I'm wearing a skirt today and I've put the heating on as a way of pretending it really is summer. It's nice and sunny outside so I'll never know! Unless I go outside of course.
Squek's being really naughty today, he keeps jumping up onto the kitchen work surface and licking my plate. He knows he's not allowed up there! So I keep putting him out through the cat flap as punishment. He just comes in and does it again. He'll learn one day! |

| [ | mood |
| | blank | ] | I'm going to Helen's old school to do a still life drawing class with little kids on Friday. I'm well scared, what if they pick on me. And it's like a trial for a project they want me to do to make the corridor look like a Henri Rousseau picture, so I need to do well. I'm trying to think of objects I can take in. All I've thought of so far is a plant and that yellow teapot I painted in Whitby. Help me pleeeease! x |

| [ | mood |
| | relieved | ] | Went to the dentist today :O Haven't been for 6 years so I was a bit scared of what evil festering diseases might have built up in my mouth since then, but it turns out everythings just fine. I just grind my teeth, he showed me pictures on the television screen. I know I do it, I just can't stop myself. I do it if I've got a song in my head or if I'm thinking or just generally all the time. Not in a horrible scraping your nails down a blackboard kind of way, I just gently rub my front teeth together. Then he buffed my teeth with some grit. Mmmmmm. I had to use the whole cup of green juice to rinse it out and still keep finding bits. He didn't give me a fluffy bug like he did in the olden days :( |

I'm in a funny old mood right now, I don't know whether I'm coming or going!
Rob keeps pestering me about buying a house. I want to! But I'm a pauper.
I wish life was a bit easier. It's all a bit gay at the moment. You know like on Richard and Judy when that person helps people with shit lives and has a chart of different aspects of your life, well I don't feel like any parts are high right now. Well the relationship bit is high but home, money, career etc etc is all poopy. I just need something good to happen to give me a boost. mmmmmm boost.
Neighbours made me cry today, Carl still loves Susan! Well it's his own bloody fault!!! Stupid idiot.
I'll report back when I have something positive to say and not a moment sooner. |

Last night I dreamt it was my wedding day. There were two hours to go before the service and I hadn't yet decided what I wanted my custom made dress to look like, I hadn't washed my hair, my Mum had organised the meal at MacDonalds and the wedding reception was going to be in Hull when I specifically said I wanted it in York. |

Hi Katy - I hope all is well with you and many thanks again for taking part in the Optimism project. Orange and their agencies have been very impressed with all of the work they've seen and will be meeting again on the 5th of January to decide upon the final pieces that they'd like to use for their image bank.
I will therefore be writing to you again around this time as soon as I know their thoughts. In the meantime I hope you have a brilliant Christmas holiday and please do let me know if you need anything else from me.
Seasons Greetings!
Rosalind.
I can't wait that long! :( |

Me and my Mum came 3rd ish in the quiz last night. That's no good. No good at all. They had really rubbish sandwiches too, not the usual coronation chicken or chicken tikka, but cheese. I was gutted, it's my favourie part of the quiz.
I went to have an interview with the agency for that art advisor job. I dont think I'm what they're after but the recruitment lady said she'd beef my CV up a bit before she sent it to them. Nice one. It basically sounds like they want someone who knows absolutely bugger all about art just as long as they're good at meeting targets and highly experienced in sales. Well bollocks to that, if you go to an art gallery you expect the person to know what they're talking about, not just some ignorant 'computer says no' type knobhead who's been a sales assistant since they were 16. But apparently that's what they want, and unfortunately that's not me. I know they want someone who's going to make them money, but there's nothing more annoying than going into a shop and the assistant being an idiot, so imagine some rich art collector trying to get advice from some ignoramous. Sorry I'm ranting on, but it's how I feel. Did I spell ignoramous right? I didn't realise how much of a mood I'm in! I came on here thinking I had nothing to say.
Oh, I've remembered a dream... I was watching a football match on the telly with my mum and they showed a close up of the crowd. I saw Holly, Siobhan, Helen, Gareth and Freddy all sat there with matching dyed red hair. I caught you all red haired! that'll teach you to go to a football match without inviting me! |

I'm just uploading my images to send to orange, the deadline's tomorrow at 9am so I'm doing it now just in case. I hope i get picked :(
Has anyone been watching Space Cadets? I think it's great, don't know if it's gonna work though. I just find Russians so amusing. I wish one of them would say plastinka or pochta. One guy said sauseeski when he read a recipe for toad in the hole. I recognised that. The Scottish guy with frizzy hair is off the advert where Gordon Ramsay says 'without this guy I would've died form a ruptured spleen'. He saved Gordon Ramsay's Life!
I can't get sugababes out of my head. No it's not 'I'm getting stronger' Helen, it's ugly now. Do you remember when I serenaded you in Scotland, did you hear me or were you asleep?
Some people made an offer on our house and it was nearly a done deal but now their buyers have pulled out so its safe again. For now. It would've been strange if Andy Clayton's mum and dad had bought our house... :S
I can't believe it's nearly Christmas. I know everyone says that every year, but I mean it more! |
